A Realllly Big Day!

First we went to the Children's Science Museum.

Then we went to Chuck-E-Cheese's. While we were there the power went off - and not just for Chuck's place. That entire area of town was out. So we sat there for awhile in the dark and then decided to leave. Then before we even got to the light at Toys R Us the lights started working, so we went back to Chuck's and our drinks (and Papa's salad) were still on our table and the lady said our pizza was on the way. We ended up staying until just a few minutes before 9:00. What a long day - but loads of fun!

Cousin's Camp - a Trip to the Zoo

Cousin's Camp continued today with a trip to the zoo! We saw the elephants and giraffes and got to ride in a Safari Car! Grani, Papa, Aunt Christy, Aunt Ashley, Gibson, Haven, Hannah and Benjamin were today's Cousin Camp campers.Going to the zoo is very tiring. gibson played a computer game when we got home. I"m not sure how the game ended...Somehow we didn't get a good picture of Benjamin at the zoo, so here he is at home. What a smile!

Cousin's Camp!

This week is cousin's camp. Four of the five cousins will be in Whites Creek for a fun time with Grani and Papa. Gibson and Haven are staying the nights and Hannah nd Benjamin will be coming over most days.

Right now, Gibson and Haven are painting pictures on the new art easel at Grani and Papa's house. Unfortunately, Papa's camera is at his new church which isn't very close by. We'll get it later today when we go looking for a few things we need for Cousin's Camp. Then we'll be able to show you some beautiful art work and some really fun new toys. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I've been a Papa for 5 years now and now I have some documentation to prove that I'm old.

Can you read the letters on the card? AARP! What a hoot! I feel like I'm about 35 - well, except for the knees... hmmm, and the eyes are kind of going... well and then there's - oh, never mind!

I think it's really funny that I'm an official member of AARP. Don't ask Grani about her card. She's not old enough for one (but she got one since I told them I was married)! Ha, ha, ha. She doesn't think it's at all funny!

Gibson and Haven's Big Tennessee Adventure

Gibson and Haven came to Tennessee with Grani and Papa! Today they went to Vacation Bible School at Papa's church. After VBS Papa took Gibson and Haven to Grani's work for lunch. While we were there Gibson askedGrani's boss if she could go home. He said, "yes", so Grani got to come home early.

Here is a picture of each of them with the things they made today at VBS.

Haven - this is Haven's words when asked about the picture "flower, paper, I made it"

Gibson said, "see my 20 home depot?, I made a flower and picture, Joseph"

That's all we could get from either one of them. They ran off to play.

Grani and Papa in San Antonio

Grani - as you probably know - doesn't like to have her picture made. However, Papa is tracking their big San Antonio adventure and thought the grandbabies might like to see pictures of Grani and Papa instead of the other way around. So... until Grani makes Papa take the pictures off, here they are. (and they turned out great for Papa just holding the camera out at arm's length and snapping the photo himself - if I say so myself)
