Papa and Benjamin

Hannah's new chair. Actually, it's Hannah's Momma's chair from when she was a little girl. It was in Papa's attic.

Something new on Bear Hollow

I suppose it's not really new, but it's the first time I've seen one.

Can you tell what it is. This is a view of the side of Papa and Grani's house.
Here's a closer picture.
I bought a new camera to take to Wales. It doesn't seem to do close up in focus.
Can you tell that this is a tiny little frog?

Art for Adoption

Papa has a new painting. I just painted it this weekend. I painted it in honor of Benjamin and I have it for sale on Ebay. I put it there to sell it to help pay for his adoption. By the way, Adoption Day is October 2! I'm so excited!

Everyone needs to go to Ebay and check it out and put it on your watched items list so there will be a lot of interest in it. I suppose you could even bid on it if you want it.

The frame isn't included on the Ebay listing - just the matt.

A Fun Evening Out

Grani and Papa and Hannah got to go to a LIFE group (Sunday School) party. It was out in the country. We got to play in the creek and pet some goats and chase some chickens and ducks. We took mommy's camera. There were four batteries in the diaper bag - rechargables. They lasted for about four pictures. Christy has those pictures. I'll get them from her and add them here. The family who had the party took these pictures. If you'd like to know more about Papa's church or to find a LIFE group that you could be a part of, click here. www.hilldale.org

Grani said, "We get to keep Jose this weekend."

"Woohoo", I said. I lied. It's not that I don't like Jose. I love Jose. She is so sweet. Baylee however hates Jose. Baylee is old a grumpy. Jose is young and perky and happy. Baylee is Eeyore. Jose is Tigger on caffiene. Jose comes bounding into the house and the first thing she does is jump on Baylee. He then growls and barks and climbs up the the highest point on the sofa. That used to be enough, but Jose is now bigger than Baylee and she cna climb just as high. And so the battle of the Century ensues with everyone barking and growling and running around and jumping and it can go on for hours.

"We'll get to see Hannah and Benjamin and you can take their picture since you found your camera."

"OK." I grumbled. At least I could get a couple of pics and some good hugs.

We drove across Old Hickory to Hannah and Benjamin's house. It's only about 20 minutes over there. But when we pulled up in front of their house this is what we saw.

What is this? An empty driveway. What does that mean? It means Christy isn't home which means I won't get to see Hannah and Benjamin.

"Oh!" grins Grani, "I guess Christy has already driven over to the Davis' house."

"Hmph." "Where are the babies?"

"Well, I suppose they are with Christy."

"I guess you knew they weren't going to be here."

"I wasn't sure, but we have to pick up Jose anyway."

"I brought my camera!"

"Jose is here!"

"Hmph."

Here's a picture of Jose "tiggering" at the gate. She was very excited to see us.

And I guess I have to admit, I was glad to see Jose. She really is a sweet dog. And a whole lot more fun than our old grump, Baylee.

Maybe we'll see the grandbabies when Jose goes home.

Good News and Bad News

The good news is I found my camera!

The bad news is that there aren't any grandbabies around to take a picture of. We'll see Hannah and Benjamin tomorrow!

More good news - bad news.

The good news. We finally got some rain!!

The bad news. It was less than an inch and it was the most rain we've had since May 4!

Here is a picture of my elephant ears last summer.

Things I wish I had a picture of...

Elam's first birthday party.
Haven's new room.
Gibson's first day of school.
Hannah talking on the phone to Papa.
Benjamin crawling.

You can see some of these things at their parent's blogs. You won't see them here unless I snag them off of their parents blogs because I don't have a camera!

I CAN'T FIND MY CAMERA!!!

I've looked everywhere! So it's just not any fun to blog without pictures. We've had Elam's first birthday party at Aunt DiDi's house and Hannah and Benjamin spent the night last Friday and lots of other fun stuff and I DON'T HAVE ANY PICTURES!!

I guess I need to go buy a new camera.

A Realllly Big Day!

First we went to the Children's Science Museum.

Then we went to Chuck-E-Cheese's. While we were there the power went off - and not just for Chuck's place. That entire area of town was out. So we sat there for awhile in the dark and then decided to leave. Then before we even got to the light at Toys R Us the lights started working, so we went back to Chuck's and our drinks (and Papa's salad) were still on our table and the lady said our pizza was on the way. We ended up staying until just a few minutes before 9:00. What a long day - but loads of fun!

Cousin's Camp - a Trip to the Zoo

Cousin's Camp continued today with a trip to the zoo! We saw the elephants and giraffes and got to ride in a Safari Car! Grani, Papa, Aunt Christy, Aunt Ashley, Gibson, Haven, Hannah and Benjamin were today's Cousin Camp campers.Going to the zoo is very tiring. gibson played a computer game when we got home. I"m not sure how the game ended...Somehow we didn't get a good picture of Benjamin at the zoo, so here he is at home. What a smile!

Cousin's Camp!

This week is cousin's camp. Four of the five cousins will be in Whites Creek for a fun time with Grani and Papa. Gibson and Haven are staying the nights and Hannah nd Benjamin will be coming over most days.

Right now, Gibson and Haven are painting pictures on the new art easel at Grani and Papa's house. Unfortunately, Papa's camera is at his new church which isn't very close by. We'll get it later today when we go looking for a few things we need for Cousin's Camp. Then we'll be able to show you some beautiful art work and some really fun new toys. Tune in often this week for the latest news from Cousin's Camp.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I've been a Papa for 5 years now and now I have some documentation to prove that I'm old.
Can you read the letters on the card? AARP! What a hoot! I feel like I'm about 35 - well, except for the knees... hmmm, and the eyes are kind of going... well and then there's - oh, never mind!
I think it's really funny that I'm an official member of AARP. Don't ask Grani about her card. She's not old enough for one (but she got one since I told them I was married)! Ha, ha, ha. She doesn't think it's at all funny!

Happy Birthday, Gibson!

Lots of love from Papa and Grani!

Benjamin makes the wall!

Poor baby. His picture has been sitting on the floor leaning up against the wall for months now. Look at that huge smile!
Two pretty babies and me in front of a sign.
I know those don't all really go together, but I'm on my way out to weed eat 3 acres. We finally got some rain and so now I have work to do.

Happy baby!

Busy baby!

New blog!

www.hilldaleworship.blogspot.com
I have a new fun thing I've been doing lately. Well, it's fun for me. I've been taking my own picture. I just hold the camera out at arms length and click. You can see a whole set of those pictures of me with all the kids at my new church here http://hilldaleworship.blogspot.com/2007/06/wheres-waldo.html
